From Holland with Love, day 26: below sea level

Peter, Ellen and we explore the newest part of Holland: the land regained from the sea. These lands are called the polders. We visit Lelystad Haven, a village that was in the 1960s the most remote village of Holland, at the far Western end of these reclaimed lands, Oostelijk Flevoland. My sisters and I grew up here, leaving us with invaluable memories, above anything a feeling of freedom and the sense that everything is possible. Very nice to share this special part of Holland with Liz and Peter.
